About RESET

Born from passion. Built on experience.
RESET was founded by Niklas Wiechmann and Manuel Wiegel—two passionate climbers, setters, and visionaries who’ve spent years immersed in the evolving world of indoor climbing. From local gyms to international competitions, they recognized a growing need: more thoughtful, functional, and inspiring tools for modern routesetting.
Driven by this insight, RESET was born—not just as a brand, but as a philosophy: to continuously reimagine how space and movement interact on the wall.
Shaped by setters, for setters.
RESET is more than just climbing holds and volumes. It’s a creative toolkit designed to empower setters to craft movement that feels fresh, challenging, and fun. Every shape is designed with intention—allowing endless combinations, dynamic and technical sequences, and meaningful interactions between climber and wall.
Manu and Niki bring years of hands-on experience into the design process, ensuring every product reflects the real-world needs of today’s setting community—whether in commercial gyms or world-class competitions.

Meet the founders.

Manuel Wiegel is a professional climber and routesetter known for his creative, solution-driven approach to movement. Climbing since childhood, he draws inspiration from outdoor bouldering, where the complexity and subtlety of movement shaped his philosophy. Since beginning his setting career in 2006 at one of Germany’s first bouldering gyms, Manu has developed a distinctive style that blends visual design with functional movement—creating boulders that are not just challenging, but thoughtful and engaging. He has set for top-level events, including IFSC competitions and international formats. At RESET, Manu leads the shaping of the brand’s holds and volumes. His focus lies in crafting shapes that open up new possibilities for setters, always driven by the search for unique movement and the balance between form and function.
Niklas Wiechmann grew up with climbing—and routesetting—in his blood. He’s recognized as one of the leading voices in the evolution of modern „new school“ routesetting. His journey has taken him across the globe—from Australia and the UK to Spain, Singapore, and Slovenia—working in gyms, setting competitions, and leading workshops. Alongside his work as a co-owner of climbing gyms and routesetter, Niklas is also a well-known educator, consultant, and YouTuber in the setting community. Through Beta Routesetting, he shares behind-the-scenes World Cup content, leads international workshops, and helps shape the next generation of setters—usually with a camera in one hand and a cup of tea in the other.

Pushing design. Redefining movement.
At RESET, innovation isn’t a buzzword—it’s a process. We experiment with materials, rethink production, and test relentlessly to make sure each product performs under pressure. From versatile textures to modular designs, every piece is engineered to support creativity and withstand the demands of high-volume use.
Our goal? To give routesetters the tools they need to shape unforgettable romantic climbs—and to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on plastic.
